Cyberbullying Awareness Day

On Friday, 14th of November 2014, our school held a Cyberbullying Awareness Day for SET. MY group (Albert, Nima, Jo, Stephanie and Joey) and I made a video that was then showed in the assembly.
The main characters were Albert, who played the victim, and Nima and Jo, who played the two main bullies. I played one of the bullies "followers" with Steph and didn't really have a big part in it (thank god). Overall, it took us only around 2 weeks to film and edit the video, and honestly, I'm pretty proud of it.

Pejaten Performance

Last night, (25th of September 2014) was the Pejaten Performance, where students and staff from AIS sang, danced, and showed off their musical talents. Parents attended the event as well.

It started at 6pm, and ended at around 10pm. The food there was free, and everyone got a coupon that they could exchange for one free drink. The choices were water, coke, and Fanta. There were a lot performances, and it was a great way to end the term.

Science Fair

This Friday (5th of September), my school will be holding an Open Day and on that day, there will also be a Science Fair. Honestly, I'm not really looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, I like science. But I don't really like having to present my experiment and talk in front of a lot of people.

On the Monday after the Science Fair, we were supposed to answer 4 questions. These are mine.

1. What went well and why?
- How well our group worked together, and when the kemang kids visited our stall and we explained our experiment to them, and they seemed really happy.

2. What went badly and why?
- The lack of decoration on our board, and how at the last minute, we still had to type and print part of our experiment.

3. What would you do differently next time?
- To come up with a better science experiment, to be more organised, and to win something.

4. What did you feel about how it went?
- I think it went pretty well- Rebecca called people to our stalls, and the three of us explained our science experiment to them, and in my opinion we worked really well together.

Indonesia Day

On the 15th of August 2014, my school celebrated Indonesia's Independence, which is actually on the 17th of August. In the morning, there was a flag hoisting ceremony, and the Year 8's (my grade) were involved in it. Some of us were the choir, others were the ones reading, and 3 people were chosen to raise the flag. After that, there were house games. Each house (Sempati, Komodo, Naga and Garuda) were split into 4 smaller groups, meaning there were 16 groups altogether. I ended up in Sempati 4. The house games were really fun and continued on for 2 periods, until recess. After recess, the years 7, 8 and 9 did quizzes about Indonesia and painted Indonesian puppets called 'wayang' which means 'shadow', while the years 10, 11 and 12 cooked and danced. Then we all had Homeroom, where we  added our finishing touches on our decorated classes and on our models whom we had already designed clothes for using different types of materials. At the end of the day, we all gathered in the multi court and watched performances by students and teachers and watched the fashion show. The winners were announced, and my class, 8B, won second for one of the quizzes.

Who am I?

My name is Indria Bong, although people rarely call me Indria. I have a lot of nicknames, but the most common ones are Indria, Dri, Bong, one of my friends call me John, and my old teacher used to call me Bunny. I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and I have lived here all my life, but I have a Malaysian passport, as my dad is Malaysian, so I usually don't know whether to say I'm from Indonesia or Malaysia. I have an older brother named Anwar Ibrahim, but people call him Dimas. He is 4 years older than me, making him 17 years old. We used to fight a lot when we were little kids, but now we get along much better. February is probably my favourite month, as my birthday is on that month. So is my brother's, my best friend's and my cat's birthdays.

I read a lot in my spare time, and that sounds really boring, but it isn't, I swear. It just has to be a good book. I also prefer actual books over digital ones that we can have on our phones, tablets, etc. I listen to music a lot but I don't really listen to a specific type of music. If I like it, then I like it. But I can't sing. I also like discovering new places (especially restaurants) that I've never been to before. I love cosy nights in, where I'm sitting on my bed, surrounded with pillows and blankets, drinking tea, and reading a good book.

I go to school in AIS in Indonesia, which stands for Australian International School. I am a new student, and just started attending AIS this term (term 3). I'm joining the basketball CCA (as my mom said that I have to join a sport),  although I'm really bad at it, but there's always a start for everything.
